Well, there are many different viewpoints and definitions pertaining to what is labeled as
"traditional jazz", and many people use other terms to convey the same meaning,
but here is our starting point:
Traditional Jazz will be interpretted as any type (or sub-type) of jazz music played prior to 1940
in popular culture. However, we will necessarily also be somewhat open to swing, bluegrass, and any NEWER music
which is played in the spirit of pre-1940s jazz. (For instance, if a new popular song is somehow
composed/arranged/written, or played in a way that the overall "sound" is conducive to traditional jazz - such
music will be welcomed.
